Kid's for Christ
Children's Ministry is a year-round ministry at First Baptist. Sunday School is the foundation for engaging children in an age-appropriate weekly Bible study. Sunday School is held on Sundays at 9:45am, and the classes last for one hour. Each class is led by a gifted teacher, and the lessons are complimented by age-appropriate activities to help children integrate the Bible lesson. Classes for children include preschool through sixth grade.
Children's Church is held during the Sunday Morning Worship Services. Children's Church is designed with the younger child in mind. A simple Bible lesson along with an activity, usually based on the Pastor's sermon for that particular Sunday, helps keep younger children focused while parents attend the Worship Service. Children accompany parents into the Worship Service, but early into the service are invited to join the Children's Church leaders as they move to the children's area.
Kid's Konnect is held on Sunday evenings at 6:00pm. Kid's Konnect is an interactive time of learning, fun, and games. It gives children a place to connect as parents are involved in Discipleship classes on Sunday evenings.
There's plenty of activity on Wednesday evenings for children as well. Children's choirs, handbells, and mission education groups meet on Wednesday evenings.
Activities are planned year-round for children. Vacation Bible School, on-site and off-site Children's camps , special outings such as bowling, skating, movies, are just a few of the activities offered for children.
